I'll be using this site to post mobile phone photos. Usually from a Nexus S using the 'Retro Camera+' or 'Vignette' apps.
So have I fallen for the $2 hipster photo app hype? You are free to think so... In mitigation I own several real Holgas (including a 35mm frankenstein Holga) and various other 6x6 toy cameras. Have done for years in fact (see my blog). This project is just for *fun*. And, like using a Holga, just as unpredictable. The 'Retro Camera' app even lovingly recreates the crappy viewfinder experience of these cameras, something that seems lost on the Appstore commenters who respond to this negatively.
I'm trying to post the photos as I take them, in the spirit of the mobile phone camera, straight from the phone. I'd say no post-processing, but hey, the phone's processor takes a hammering with the amount of PP the app itself does. I don't need to do anything... Luckily *I* like the results, which is what really matters. If you do too, so much the better.
Liberating really, and the square format is one I'm very comfortable with :)
